Be sure to get all of your handy dandy charts!
Sometimes you'll pull up a chart that doesn't point the way to treasure. Some of them show you how many items you need to find, some are essential to completing the game, and one is a bizarre crayon drawing by ... none other than Tingle. († image to left) |
Ghost Ship Chart
The Ghost Ship Chart shows the location of a mysterious pirate vessel that roams the Great Sea. Find the chart inside a cave on Diamond Steppe Island. Once the chart is in your possession, you can see where the Ghost Ship is at any given time. Appearing on Crescent Moon Island, Spectacle Island, Star Belt Archipelago, Greatfish Isle, Bomb Island, Diamond Steppe Island & Five-Star Isles only at night. Compare the glowing island on the Gost Ship Chart to your Sea Chart to figure out where to go. |
Tingle's Chart
After you rescue Tingle from prison, he will send you a hand-drawn chart as a thank-you. The chart show the way to Tingle Island and also points out the location of Great Fairies that upgrade your Rupee-carrying ability. († Tingle image) |
IN-credible Chart
After you get the Master Sword, Tingle will mail you his IN-credible Chart. (You'll have to shell out 201 Rupees to get it out of the mailbox.) The IN-credible Chart show the locations of all eight Triforce Charts. When you get a chart deciphered, it will show you where the Trifore Chart is. Also, when you find a chart, Tingle will cross it out on your map. |
Octo Chart
Head to Six-Eye Reef & take out all the wall-mounted cannons and ships. Take the Treasure Chart that appears when you're finished, then use it to find the Octo Chart. The Octo Chart will indicate the location of all the Big Octos in the game and even point out how many eyes each one has. († Big Octo image) |
Island Hearts Chart
Head to Four-Eye Reef and take out all the wall-mounted cannons and ships. Take the Treasure Chart that appears when you're finished, then use it to find the Island Hearts Chart. The new map will tell you how many Pieces of Heart you can find in any given location. Note that the map shows only Pieces of Heart that are on land—not those you'll find by dredging the ocean floor. |
Great Fairy Chart
Head to Five-Eye Reef and take out all the wall-mounted cannons and ships. Take the Treasure Chart that appears when you're finished, then use it to locate the Great Fairy Chart. Your new chart shows the location of all the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Locations shown on the Great Fairy Chart are Northern Fairy Island, Mother & Child Isles, Western Fairy Island, Easter Fairy Island, Thorned Fairy Island, Southern Fairy Island, Outset Island and Two-Eye Reef. Sea Hearts Chart
At Three-Eye Reef & take out all of the wall-mounted cannons & ships. Take the Treasure Chart that appears when you're finished, then use it to find the Sea Hearts Chart. This will show you where to find Treasure Charts that point the way to Pieces of Heart locations under the ocean. |
Light Ring Chart
Head to Cyclops Reef and take out all wall-mounted cannons and ships. Take the Treasure Chart that appears when you're done, then use it to find the Light Ring Chart. The new map presents locations where you can dredge the ocean (during the night only) to find treasure without an additional map. († light ring image) |
Beedle's Chart
After you gain the ability to carry bombs, Beedle will mail you a chart that show the locations of his floating stores. The helmeted-Beedle head on the chart signifies a store that sells special items. († Beedle image) |
Platform Chart
Head to the Flights Control Platform sector and look for a submarine. Enter the sub and eliminate the enemies to get the Platform Chart. (There are multiple Wizzrobes in the sub, so wait until you have the Hero's Bow.) The chart reveals how many skull-topped platforms are in any given area. († Platform image) |
Submarine Chart
Drop into the cave in the Boating Course sector and battle enemies until they cough up the Submarine Chart. It shows where in the Great Sea you can find submarines. († Submarine image) |
