Twilight Town The scene opens up in Twilight Town, there you talk with a resident and they tell you the saddest thing! That every time the bell tolls one of them turn into a pig! How could this be? Will everyone turn into a pig? Never fear ^_^ Mario is here. Talk with the mayor where he tells you about the curse and that it originates from the Creepy Steeple. Time to explore first before going to the Creepy Steeple. You'll find a Star Piece in the bush in the front; just shake the bush and it will pop out. On the side of the farthest left house is another Star Piece. You'll find an inn here by the save block. Go to the east side of town for the Item Shop and a gate to go out to Creepy Steeple but the guard is blocking your way to leave. Go back to talk to the mayor and he is turned into a pig, head back to the gate again and the gate keeper is turned into a pig while you were gone! Go through the gate and look in the shack in the background to get the grey key. Keep heading forward. There are baddies in here but I try to avoid them because they don't give you much Star Points. Check all of the blocks in this area as some of them give you items. Eventually you'll come to a fallen tree. Use Koops to go under the tree to grab the red key. Go into the shop and use the grey key to open the door. You'll notice a familiar looking grey spiked chest. Yeah, it's time to be 'cursed' again. Use the red key to open the chest and you'll gain the ability to roll up into a tube to fit under tight places. Now that you have this ability you can roll under the fallen tree log :). Before leaving, pick up the items here, be sure to pick up the Defend Plus Badge in the wooden chest. Head back to the fallen tree, roll underneath and you'll come to an odd looking hay stack. Pull out Flurry and blow it away. You'll reveal a pipe for traveling but grab the Star Piece behind the pipe first. This pipe will take you to the background where you'll have the fun experience of avoiding Amazee Dazee's and other baddies. It's pretty straight forward, you'll need your Sideways Turning abilities and have Flurry out to blow away obstacles (tree that blocks your way, you'll know it when you get to it). You'll be in the next background and it's pretty much the same stuff. Again, use Flurry to blow away the a sticker camouflaging a hole in the ground. Go down the hole into the background and push the rock in the background to the side and it reveals a new hole in the foreground. Now you can get around, continue forward and then you'll finally get to the Creepy Steeple. Just an FYI, you'll get to do this trek many more times in this level >.< I'm sure you're so happy about that -_-. Not! You can easily get into the gates by rolling underneath the hole in the wall. Check out the well, jump down, collect the Shine Sprite, go into the other room and fight the baddies. There is a block in the air that has the Tornado Jump Badge in it. Be sure to pick that up :). You can now leave the well as there's nothing else you can do here… for now. Badges you collect here: Tornado Jump, Defend Plus # of Star Pieces: 3 # of Shine Sprites: 1 Ability Learned: Tube Mode Baddie(s): NA |

Now you can head into the Creepy Steeple, use the Tube Mode to roll back under the hole in the wall and go up the stairs and right into the building. The doors are unlocked so this is pretty straight forward. The first thing to do is to go back into Tube mode and roll into a small hole in the wall by the door. Inside here you'll find a Shine Sprite, Star Piece, Cook Book and the Ice Badge. Now you can leave here, head back out into the foyer. Move the statue backward to reveal a hole. Drop down and use Flurry to blow away a cave opening in the back. Go inside and to the right. You'll come to a chest with Flower Saver Badge inside and now you can go back to where you fell in. You'll notice a door on the left. Go inside and you'll come to a hallway. Open the chest for a bunch of Boos to fly out. One will ask you 'how many Boos came out of the chest' answer 200 for an Ultrashroom. Go back up and talk to the Boo in the middle of the room. He asks if you'll be mean to him, say 'no' and they'll begin to crowd you and push you outside. If you want to stop them use your 'Super Hammer' ability by knocking them off of you (by spinning your hammer around). They will challenge you to a fight. This is a good time to try your new ability "Power Lift". This Big Boo isn't that hard to beat. Be sure to have Yoshi out to help. Use his Ground Pound to deal a lot of damage while Power Lifted. After this fight they drop the Lucky Start Badge (turn that on immediately). Now you can head out the door in the back to go around the side. Turn into side mode to head out into the garden to go to the right. You'll come to a tree that if you hit it with your hammer it'll drop a strange leaf that heals FP. Go back and hit the Red Button to the right with your hammer. Head inside, you'll notice the stairs are all the way to the right. At the top of the stars you'll notice another door to the left. To get to this door (where you'll find a key) go back to the room with the stairs and you'll notice another door at the other end of the room Go through this door and you'll be on the other side of the building outside. Hit the red block twice to move the stairs to the far left door. Go up the stairs to get to the clearstory, go to the end of this walkway and you'll find a key laying out. Use Koops to grab the key, now you need to move the stairs all the way back to the far right door. Head up the stairs and be sure to hit the save block at the end of that walkway. Use the key to go in that locked (the only locked door this level) door. Head up the winding stair case to confront the boss of this level… Is that a short level or what? Well, it's a rather long boss fight. You'll see why in a moment. heh heh heh…
