3: The Great Sea QuestsMissing a Heart Piece or Treasure Map? Fret no more! :D
the Temple of the gods Inside the tower make a soft right and head to the door above the ledge. You have to wait for the water level to be high to reach the ledge. To the right of the door you’ll see a glowing trigger on the ground. Pick up one of the Armos statues there and place it on the trigger. The bars will pull up and you can go in. Please note you’ll encounter electrified ChuChu. Hit it with your boomerang to stun it before killing it. The pool that is created will fill and drain. In the bottom of the pool there is another glowing trigger. Place a box over the trigger. When the water level is low than a rainbow bridge will appear. Now you can get across. Pick up the statue and cross over the rainbow bridge and exit out the room. Take this statue to the golden hut to the left and place it in it’s designated spot. Like a puzzle piece in a puzzle. Then you will see a gate lowered so you can progress. Jump back in your boat, and before you head back, look to the right to the entrance of where the gate lowered and you’ll notice a golden hut. If the water is high, you’ll only see the roof, but if it is low you will see a door you can go in. Head over there next. Inside you see 3 boxes on the ground. This room is one where you’ll have to lay bombs to break into the cubbies in the wall. Some cubbies have a ledge where you can lay the bombs at and some you’ll have to take a hit while standing on the floating box. This will require pulling and pushing the boxes into place. Use your leaf to jump from one cubby to the next when the water is low. In this room you will get the dungeon map, but that’s the most useful thing here. Oi! Now you can take the boat through the tunnel. At the end is a room. Again, place the Armos statues on the glowing triggers. This room is similar to the first where there is a pool and you have to figure out how to cross it. Wait for the water to lower and align the boxes on the bottom into a straight row that you can use like a bridge. So when the water is high you can jump across them and then be able to get to get to the other side. But there is the added complication of carrying a lit torch at the same time. Once at the ledge where the unlit torches are and you have your lit stick. Light the torches and a box appears with a key. Now you can exit. Head back to the entrance area of the tower and you’ll notice on the left side of the gold mouth spewing water there is a stone/concrete wall. On parts of the wall you can see cracks. This can be blown up using bombs straight from your boat. Wait for the water level to be high so you can get over the retaining wall. Take the stairs up to the door. Inside you’ll see a floating Bubble (firey skull). Use your leaf to blow it out and then kill it with your sword. There is a chest there in the room. Inside is a compass. |
|
Leave this room and to the left is are vases. One has sticks in it, take a stick out and light it on fire. Quickly make your way down to the lower level and you’ll see 2 unlit torches. Light the 2 torches and then a chest will appear with a Joy Pendant inside. Go down to the locked door and use your key. Inside, kill all of the ChuChu and then a rainbow staircase will appear for you to get up to the statue. Take the statue outside, turn left, up the stairs and place it on it’s puzzle piece pedestal area. Now, the water will stop flowing from the golden mouth and a doorway will appear. Take the boat over to the opening. Inside the door is a Beamos. The first thing you’ll need are the Armos statues by the entrance. Place the 2 on the glowing triggers and the last trigger is for you. Take the moving platforms.
Tingle Tuner: goddess Tingle Statue (Statue #3) Now, at the top of the moving platforms is a stationary platform. That is where the goddess Tingle Statue is. Use your Tingle Tuner to call Tingle and have him place a bomb over the ! symbol and the chest will appear with the statue inside. Now you can go through the open door. Head around the room to the door with the glowing symbol on it. In side you’ll find a moving platform. Use that to cross the room. Inside the next door you’ll see a rainbow platform hovering in the air. The trick here is to call the statue down with the R Target button. The Statue will follow you, so walk carefully around the path to the end of the path where you pick up the statue and can jump across the gap to the doorway. Take the statue onto the moving platform and into the prior room. The statue will move to it’s appropriate pedestal and then a sign will appear in the center of the room with an engraving of the next melody to learn. The Command Melody. Check it out, learn it, and now you can command the statues. Go into the next room with the glowing symbol. |
|
In here there are bubbles (firey skulls) be carefull. In the ceiling there is a hook you can grapple onto. This is how you’ll cross over the room. Call the statue down using R Target. Now go stand on the glowing trigger and a rainbow bridge will appear. Play the command melody and walk the statue across the bridge. Release the statue and then use your grappling hook to get back across. Back outside place the statue on the glowing trigger. Then use your grappling hook to get to the ledge on the right. The door should be open if the statue is on the trigger. Inside this room is your first Darknut. Use the Perry attack and wait for the action button to light green. Your controller should shake. You will then jump over/around him to slice him up his back. The trick is to cut his armor off of him. You can use the grappling hook to get his Knight’s belt and other goodies, like hearts. A chest will appear in the center of the room. Inside is your Hero’s Bow! Now you can shoot down the bubbles (firey skulls) and set off eye triggers on the wall. The eye trigger on the wall in front of you will trigger 2 platforms so you can get back over to the statue. Pick him up and carry him across the moving platforms to the door. Now the other statues will be triggered to attack you so don’t wait around. Inside this room, which you should recognize, the statue will move to it’s pedestal. Go into the next room with the glowing symbol on the door. Use an Armos statue to lower the left side of the scales and blow up that cracked concrete wall. There will be a door that you can go through. Inside is a round room with 2 large statues. Play the Wind’s Requiem on the blue wind symbol on the ground. You will trigger the 2 Armos Knight statues. You will need a bomb to blow up one statue. Throw it into it’s open mouth and he will spin around quickly and then blow up, so watch out. Inside the chest is a Treasure Map #30.

Go back outside to where the scales are. Use the Armos statues to weigh down one side and use the lifted side to jump across to the next door. Inside this room climb up onto the sign thingy in the middle of the room. Once at the top you can use your leaf to sail over the electrified beams in your way. Call the statue down and then use the command melody to cause it to move across the beams and onto the glowing trigger. Now with the beams stopped you can go pick up the statue and leave the room. Cross over the scales back to the other side where the statues are you used as weights before. Kill the Wizzrobe with your arrows. L Target him and he takes 3 hits. Now Weight down 1 of the scales with all of the Armos statues. Then jump back over to the waiting statue and pick him up and jump across the gap onto the lifted scale and then all the way across to the door. Back into the room with the pedestals where you learned the command melody. The statue moves to his pedestal and then all 3 statues will beam a light to the center and open a gateway for you to beam up. Walk into the light and then be lifted into the next part of the dungeon. In this round room pick up the 2 Armos statues and place them on the glowing trigger. Carefully grab a pot from around the beamos and place it on the 3rd trigger. Now you can get to the large chest with the Boss Key inside. Fight the Armos statues that now have come to life. Use your arrows, L Target, to stun them them slash from behind on their glowing buttons to kill them. Once they’re both gone you can now exit through the open door. Out side now, use your grappling hook on the bird to get a Golden Feather, and the boomerang to kill the bird. As you climb the stair case use your bow to shoot out the Beamos waiting for you until you get to the Boss Door.

Boss GOHDAN
You’ll need arrows and bombs. This boss has eyes in his hands and first you want to shoot the eyes out in the hands. L Target the hand eyes and they take 2 shots each. You’ll have to be light on your feet to avoid attacks. Next, once the hands are out, shoot out each eye on the face, they are red, each face eye takes 2 shots each. Then the face falls to the ground with the mouth open. Throw a bomb into the mouth. You’ll have to do this twice to defeat him. Also, be careful of the flaming spit balls! I try to run in a straight line until the last moment before he begins this attack and then I turn hard right or left and he usually can’t turn that quickly. Good luck! |

Note*
Be sure to go back into the Tower after the level. By the entrance area of the level go to the left and jump back over the retaining wall. Go up the steps to the room with the first bubbles (firey skulls). Shoot the eye on the wall with an arrow and the wall rolls back revealing a chest. Inside is a Treasure Map #6. |

Hyrule
Right after the Tower of the gods, your boat takes you under the sea to a strange castle. Climb up the steps and go inside. You’ll have a puzzle to complete here. There are 3 extruded triangles laying on the ground in the foyer. Move them around to lay right over the Triforce on the ground. When you have it right the Link statue will move back revealing a hole in the ground. Go down into the chamber and you’ll find the Master sword protruding from a pedestal. Pull it out and then mysteriously everything goes from being black and white to color again and all of the enemies begin stirring again. Go back up and dispatch all of the enemies to exit the castle. Talk to your boat and now you’re ready for the next level... Forsaken Fortress. |
|
Forsaken Fortress
You again! This will be fairly straight forward. Go to the Forsaken Fortress in the uppermost left quadrant. You’ll have to break yourself into the place by pulling up to the wooden gate and blowing it up with a bomb. Walk up to the first big door you can reach. Phantom Ganon will appear. This is a classic Ganon fight where he hovers above you and throws an orb of energy at you and you have to bat it back to him with your sword. You have to bat back and forth for some time before you hit him. Once he’s on the ground attack him with your sword. Do this several times to dispatch him. After the fight a chest appears. Open it up to receive the Skull Hammer. Be ware the Bokoblins. You have to take out the search lights as in the beginning. Use the same routs. Use the Skull Hammer to knock down the spiked obstacles. Then go up the stairs. Once you’re at the top head up the incline to the ladder just up the way and to the right. Take out the Bokoblin. Once he’s gone the searchlight remains up. This is going to be a point of reference because this search light is centrally located. The next searchlight can be located by jumping down at the ladder of the first searchlight. Head to the covered walkway and there should be a door at each end. Turn right and head to that door. Use your Deku Leaf to cross the gap, then use the Skull Hammer to flatten the spiked obstacles. You should be in another covered walkway turn left out of the walkway and you should see another ladder. Climb up this ladder and take out the next searchlight. From our starting point at the first searchlight, jump down at the ladder and head to the covered walkway. INSTEAD of turing right go left and head to that doorway. Jump across the gap using the Deku Leaf. Out side you’ll see another covered walk way. Turn left and at the top of the ladder is the last searchlight. Jump down and go back to the covered walkway. Go into the door, below the Moblin structure with the laser eyes. Go in that door. |
|
In the next room, which is semi-circular and crawling with Moblins. Just run past them at this point. Take the stairs up and up and out the door. Keep going up inclines and follow the wall to the left and go up the incline that curves to the right. You’ll come to a portion where the ground has given way, walk up to the wall next to the casm and the word Sidle will appear over the icon of your green A button. Press the A button at this time and you will instantly hug the wall with your back so you can cross on the tiny ledge that remains. Keep following the path and you will come across the next casm. Here you can use your grappling hook on the stick coming out of the wall above the window. Look up to find your hook.
At the top you will find a switch sticking up out of the ground that you need to smush with your Skull Hammer. Then the door unlocks. Time to fight the bird!! |
|
Boss: HAMAROC KING
Inside you will see your sister as well as other girls. But you were duped by the pirates who come in behind you to save the day. While they are getting the girls you face the boss. Start by going up the wooden ramp that circles the room. Forget the baddies that come out of the vases. Keep moving because the bird is destroying the ramp as you go. No turning back! Get to the top and the bird blocks your way. He’ll hold his face low to the ground. Smash it with the Skull Hammer. This how you’ll fight the boss. After it falls down climb up to the top of the plat form. Here the bird will have several attacks, all easily avoidable. It will fly by and scrape the ground with it’s talons. Dodge this attack by quickly getting out of the way. Another is to try and blow you into the spikes. Stay in the middle of the platform. If you are too close to the edge he will knock you into the spikes. Otherwise he will try to peck you with his beak and in the process getting his head stuck in the ground. Now’s your chance. Smash his head with the Skull Hammer when he’s stuck. After several times the protective face mask will break off and then his weakness is evident. Attack the top of his head where the yellow feathers are. Strike him here several times and he’s done for! Time to face Ganon! ... And get slapped around ... Doh! |
