6: Gannon's TowerMissing a Heart Piece or Treasure Map? Fret no more! :D
Hyrule (3rd Visit) After collecting all of your Triforce Shards, Treasure & Heart Pieces head back to Tower of the gods to get back to Hyrule. There you will find that *gasp* Princess Zelda has been kidnapped by Gannon! Defeat the Mighty Darknuts to exit into Hyrule. Use your sword to break through the barriers outside the castle. Follow the path around to the entrance to Gannon's Tower. |

Gannon's Tower
There will be 5 Drawbridges, 4 of which will lead to quick challenges and ultimately to Bosses already defeated. You will have to re-defeat 1. Ghoma 2. Kalle Demos 3. Jalhalla 4. Molgera After completing these challenges you will be able to enter the door under the giant skull. |

Phantom Gannon
Head to the door on the right and memorize the order of the lamps (as shown in the cutscene) then head over to the room directly across (on the left as you entered the central room) and use your boomerang to strike the switches in the same order as the lamps were shown. In case you need the info it's 1. far right switch 2. close left switch 3. close right switch 4. far left switch Your boat will sail in and this is where you can return to the surface to get supplies. Next, head back into the central room and across to the other door with the lamps. Jump into the abyss and you will be transported to an area to fight Phantom Gannon. NOTE* after fighting Phantom Gannon, note which way his sword falls and head for the room that the hilt of the sword it pointing to. You will need to fight Gannon about 5 times and eventually you will come to a room with bars on the doors. Defeat him here to get your Light Arrow. Now, head out the door that the hilt is pointing to, this time shoot Phantom Gannon to defeat him for good. Take the sword that he drops and throw/slash the brick door to open the portal. |

I would suggest, before proceeding, to leave the tower and get yourself some Blue Potion. I get mine by going to Hollo's Potion Shop on Forest Haven (you ned 4 Boko Baba Seeds for 1 bottle). Blue Potion refills your Magic and your Hearts. You'll need the magic to fire your Light Arrows (FYI). Head back to the Tower once done. Go into the new door created after you defeated Phantom Gannon. Defeat all of the enemies on the stair landings and finally defeat the Mighty Darknuts at the top of the stairs for the door to unlock.

Puppet Gannon
Puppet Gannon will have 3 incarnations. Strike the Blue Orb 3 times with a Light Arrow to defeat each incarnation. 1. Monkey (I think...) The Blue Orb is located on the end of a tail. Cut down the puppet using your Boomerang and then you can more easily strike the tail. Do this three times. Note* He will conjure bats occasionally. Take those out easily. 2. Spider: Tilt up the Joy Stick so that you can see the reflection in the water. Judge where he will come down and make sure you are at his butt end where you can shoot the Blue Orb. Bats will also be conjured here too. This is the easiest incarnation (in my opinion) to defeat. 3. Dragon/Snake: AHHGGGHHH!!!! This is the most difficult part about the boss. You will definitely need your Blue Potion here. You have to strike the tail, where the Blue Orb is, but since his movements are so sporadic and difficult to predict/shoot this will be your biggest headache. Note* If you strike/shoot the head you will slow him down momentarily. But only for a moment! And you will have to shoot his tail 3 times and each time you manage to shoot his tail he will only go faster. Oi! Good luck! |

Gannon
Unlike most (I can't think of an exception) video games you will get a literal break in your epic boss fight. This means you can refill heats, magic, and arrows. There is 1 fairy on the top landing, FYI. Climb the rope up to climb on the first landing and use your Grappling Hook to get to the next landing. Here you can collect some goodies. Use your Grappling Hook again (same fashion) to get to the top landing. There will be a Warp Pot and other goodies, including a fairy. Use your Hookshot to get to the exit. Note the bullseye on the roof of the exit way. Here you will exit out to the roof of the tower. Watch the cutscenes and fight Gannon. First, use your shield as he will be defenseless only when he is struck with a Light Arrow from Princess Zelda. This will work for 3 strikes, then Gannon will knock out the princess and you will have to fight him alone. Wait for the Perry Attack and use this attack 2-3 times on him before Zelda wakes up again. Shield yourself at this point as he has adapted to the Perry attack and avoiding Light Arrows. Eventually Princess Zelda will suggest using your shield as a reflection. Once you have successfully reflected light off your shield onto Gannon you will be given a Perry Attack trigger. Hit your (A) Action Button at this instant to deliver the killing blow. Bam! Game over Gannon :) time to start celebrating. Don't worry about the King of Red Lions, he shows up in the last scene as your boat; ready for the next adventure. I would suggest you take the opportunity to make a Master File so you can replay this fun game but with a few changes ;) i think you will enjoy. I hope you've had as much fun as I have! Peace out! |
